Lost Got Crappy Because ABC Was Greedy - Puke Nuke
Snippet Below:
(to visit the original article click here)0Flag as OffensiveLo; I'm not going to dump all over your well written retort even though I disagree. There IS some truth there and I really enjoy people who can actually make their argument without the over use of tired phrases and canned insults. You, for one, are an intelligent viewer, no matter what you watch. Unfortunately, it's time to get down to our disagreement. Nothing personal.... As far as the writers "knowing exactly how it would end" I never obught that tripe, else they'd have never made most of the detours that they did. I've even heard the writers contradict themselves on it all, so it's not necessarily gospel just because you want to believe they crafted this tale from beginning to end...when all they really knew was how the final scene would play out. But, not necessarily much more. Read my description about the "nuke" below. They had plenty of time to get that part right. Also, if you "know where something is going", you don't write yourself into corner...unless you're a complete idiot...and they're not that(but just how many times do we need to bring Michael back if we got it right the' first time???) . General knowledge of where it's going versus specific knowledge are two different things. However, would you and your ilk please do the really intelligent people out there who may not be LOST fans either, a favor and quit attribiting yourself as "intelligent" just because you watch LOST. It ain't all that complicated, just convoluted. Frankly, it appears that's the ONLY reason many think they're smart and everybody else is stupid. Read some of your fellow fan remarks and tell me truthfully if that person could predict their next bowel movement, less known a good plot point. And as far as an "intelligent" show versus being "spoon-fed", if you really ARE intelligent, you should be insulted by the sometimes lame and oftentime purposefully erroneous bullcrap that passes as good writing in this show. I mean, c'mon....setting oiff a nuke with rock? High school science is enough to tell you that ain't gonna happen. And a little bit of research by the writers would have come up with a better vehicle for a nuclear explosion (rather than a mortally wounded Sayid saying, "I'll rig it to explode on impact"). That's just stupid, and only one example of the vast amount of stuff that makes it less than "stellar" and virtually unwatchable by anyone with a brain as far as I'm concerned. So while, I'm waiting to be "spoon-fed" according to you, I think you and your fellow fans are eating "crap" just because it has some chunks of corn in it. So don't lecture me on how wonderfully intelligent this shell-game of a show is. It's still only 10 million fans max. Hell, the Grammys get more viewership and look how crappy that is. But, if you still want to feel superior, chow down while spounting statistics like "99.9%" ad nasuem until the terms mean absolutely nothing....and that's exactly what LOST has become. A series of cliches and scientifc teminology strung together by idiots. Spoon fed...I'm gonna Puke it I hear that analogy again....across the vast messageboards dedicated to LOST, it would seem that some of you "smarter than everybody else" fans would come up with something more descriptive. Maybe Cuse and Lindelof can help you there when you memorize the dialog tonight. Or maybe you should watch less TV and read something. Just saying....
